Capture the wind – textile workshop in the park of the Museum of Etnhography

Under the canopies of the Museum of Ethnography's park, the workshop Capture the wind was organised, where billowing flags and pennants were created from recycled textiles in harmony with nature. Yinka Shonibare CBE often works with textiles in his artworks, and the Wind Sculpture in Bronze I also has the wind as its theme.

The panel consisted of artists of the African diaspora, who were invited to select objects from the collection to reflect on together. The starting point was the concept "Encounter with the Collection", developed within the exhibition project focused on African cultures.
