Roof of Reflection is an audiovisual, immersive experience created based on Cristina Iglesias's new work Aurora Borealis Star Dome in Princess Estelle Sculpture Park. Roof of Reflection has been created for Wisdome's 360° dome — a format that shares the sculpture's fundamental quality: it envelops those who find themselves within it. The viewer moves through the work in the shifting light of day and night, with Cristina Iglesias's own voice as narrator, specially composed music by Britta Byström performed by Adolf Fredrik's Church Chamber Choir, sound design by Ludvig Elblaus, KTH, and a scientific perspective from light researcher Federico Favero, KTH.
The experience is a portal — to use Cristina's own words — that leads the viewer to a place within themselves. It is a work of art in its own right, and an opportunity for everyone to take part in a powerful and unique experience, akin to the one Aurora Borealis Star Dome offers on site in the sculpture park.
Produced by Blick Film AB, commissioned by Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation in collaboration with the National Museum of Science and Technology and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Director: Palle Lindvist.
Roof of Reflection is shown every Friday at 7:00 pm starting September 25. The screening is included in admission to the National Museum of Science and Technology. Read more on The National Museum of Science and Technology's website.
More information about the screening schedule for the film at other Wisdome cinemas around the country will be published shortly.
