Forest Kids Workshop
Time
July 1 - August 13, 2024
Location
Tekniska Museet
This year's workshop at the National Museum of Science and Technology is a daily drop-in for families in their new exhibition The Forest. Inspired by this Giuseppe Penone's sculpture, children together with adults can explore wood as a material. The workshop consists of three missions: Explore, Build, and Act!
Explore – get mission cards with simple exercises such as hugging a tree, counting tree rings or listening to the ground.
Build – build houses for animals, wooden sculptures or something more challenging like a large dome.
Act – children can have their say here. Who really owns the forest? Is it the fox, the forest owner, the trees or someone else?
The missions are adapted for children from 2 years to around 6 years, but are also suitable for the whole family.
