Drop-in workshop for all families with children

Please note: this activity is held in Swedish.

This year’s workshop at the National Museum of Science and Technology is a daily drop-in for all families with children in their brand new exhibition, “The Forest.” We start from the artistic aspect of this year’s sculpture and let children, along with adults, explore wood as a material. The workshop consists of three missions: Explore, Build, and Act!

Explore – Participants receive task cards with simple exercises such as hugging a tree, counting tree rings, or listening to the ground.

Build – Here, participants build houses for animals, wooden sculptures, or something more challenging like a large dome.

Act! – Here, children get to express their opinions. Who really owns the forest? Is it the fox, the forest owner, the trees, or someone else?

The missions are tailored for children from 2 years old to approximately 6 years old but are also suitable for the whole family.

More information will be published shortly on the National Museum of Science and Technology’s website.
